Giving back through life-changing experiences as a charitable organization Please help our veterans. Thank You!
Our amazing team of military veterans and rodeo cowboys and part-time volunteers is committed to helping other veterans less fortunate than ourselves as a charitable organization. We take our convictions and turn them into action. Think you would be a good fit? Get in touch for more information!

We know, many of our service men and women have a Western heritage. And competed in the sport of rodeo and horsemanship prior to entering the service to our country. Some occasionally still compete during their active duty, active reserve, and active guard assignments. But it is not like “back in the day”, which is depicted within the pages of the Military Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame another charitable organization. https://mrchof.com .
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the 2023 Hugo Military Rodeo Days Rodeo Committee, we wanted to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for your generous contribution and commitment to the successful Hugo Military Rodeo Days rodeo! Without your support of our active duty and military veterans, the rodeo surely would not have been so successful. With your help we were able to donate nearly $27,000 to individual veterans, veteran organizations, and veteran associations. Thank You!

In our charitable organization, we focus on making the maximum positive effort for our Veterans and Military Rodeo Cowboys community.
Our mission is exclusively for the production of a charitable morale and welfare support system where active-duty military and honorably discharged veterans, from all branches of service, who share the camaraderie of military service, and the rodeo cowboy lifestyle can come together and share in their experiences from in and out of the arena. Pursue their rodeo dreams, their mental wellbeing, and compete in the sport of military rodeo throughout the Upper Midwest.
Current research studies indicate that many returning veterans suffer from PTSD and cannot or will not display a wide variety of symptoms. We also know that communication with fellow veterans that have same or similar experiences from their military service, is important for mental wellbeing. We also know that some veterans have varying degrees of limited physical abilities due to their valiant service.
For those veterans who take part in the sport of rodeo, competing in our produced military rodeos is a benefit to them. They can share in the comradery of the sport, share their real world experiences in and out of the arena in an understanding environment and, compete against others who share the same or similar mental or physical impairment, however slight, without rebuke.

We currently provide six high quality rodeo events for military service members. Chute Dogging, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Barrel Racing, and everyone’s favorite the Bull Riding, with Saddle Bronc and Bareback Bronc riding to be added in the future.
We are a dedicated group of individuals who have come together to support our fellow veterans through charitable disbursements from rodeo proceeds to 501 (C) (3) veterans’ organizations, associations, and foundations. We seek your support in producing and promoting a great event for our military rodeo cowboys so that we can all say at the end of the day “We made a difference.”
Contestants are affiliated with any branch of service including the United States Coast Guard, National Guard and Space Force. Veterans may choose to be members, in good standing with any other reputable rodeo association. Some of our contestants have been inducted into the Military Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame.
